Framed by the heights of the southern Odenwald forest, the Vierburgenstadt, or four-castle town, is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the lower Neckar valley.

 The four medieval castles form a wreath around the historic townscape. Our guide will take you past half-timbered houses with their medieval guild signs and guide you through winding alleys. Two of the four castles can be visited free of charge. You will discover the effect that geological change has had on the landscape and culture of the region. You‘ll also come to the southern entrance gate of the 3500 square kilometre UNESCO Bergstrasse-Odenwald Global Geopark.
