The Hasenwald game reserve is the ideal excursion destination for young and old and is located in the Hettingen district of Buchen.
On an area of around 9,000 square meters, the Verein der Vogelfreunde e.V. runs a small zoo that is integrated into a wooded area.
A variety of bird species such as peacocks, pheasants, canaries, parakeets, pigeons and many other species can be seen in numerous newly designed aviaries. Sheep, guinea pigs, rabbits, goats and a pony also feel right at home in the hare forest.
A nature trail for exploring the forest, a small playground and a range of restaurants invite you to linger. The animal park is a popular excursion destination, especially for families with small children.
The enclosure is open to visitors every day and there is no admission charge.
