One point of contact for all visitors is the Nature Park Center in the heart of Eberbach‘s old town. Anyone interested in nature and landscape, geology and history is in the right place here.

The Eberbach Nature Park Center in the town‘s oldest and most beautiful stone building, the Thalheim‘sche Haus, informs visitors of all ages about the historical origins and ecological connections of the Neckartal-Odenwald Nature Park.

The 280m² exhibition area leads through the diverse landscape of the surrounding area. The mineral, plant and animal world of the landscape can be wonderfully explored.

The volunteer guides offer exciting tours through the nature park center. It is also worth making a detour to the Eberbach Arboretum, where a total of 200 plant species are presented in a compact and vivid way.

Tactile map of the Neckartal-Odenwald Nature Park

The tactile map enables blind and visually impaired people to discover the region by touch. The nature park is constantly expanding its barrier-free offering to give everyone access to nature.

The mobile map is used in the exhibition and at events. Its relief-like surface depicts heights, depths, the Neckar and regional boundaries. Texts such as city names are tactile and readable in Braille.

QR codes provide users with spoken information about the natural areas and the nature park center in Eberbach. Another code leads to comprehensible texts in easy-to-read language. This makes the nature park accessible to everyone.
