In the Transylvanian Museum at Horneck Castle, visitors can discover many exciting facts about the Transylvanian region, the legendary Transylvania in present-day Romania.

At the Transylvanian Museum in Gundelsheim, it quickly becomes clear that the country has much more to offer than the fictional story of Count Dracula.

With more than 20,000 objects , the Transylvanian Museum houses the most important collection on the art and cultural history of Transylvania outside Romania.

A selection of the extensive collection can be viewed in the permanent exhibition on the first floor. Seven themed areas illustrate the eventful history and multifaceted culture of the German-speaking Transylvanian Saxons in their multi-ethnic and multi-religious environment from the Middle Ages to the present day.

Special exhibitions also invite visitors to explore.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:
Gundelsheim is located on the Stuttgart-Heilbronn-Heidelberg railroad line. It is about a ten-minute walk from the station to the castle.
