In Osterburken, the Limes UNESCO World Heritage Site has been preserved in many places on the site and can therefore be visited. The preserved walls and excavated trenches of the uncovered annex fort are located in a park near the Roman Museum.

The ancient fortifications are impressive in size and make an impressive sight.

About one kilometer south of Osterburken is the replica of a Limes tower. The walk-in 1:1 replica shows the state of construction of the border fortifications in the 3rd century AD and can be combined with a hike on one of the three Limes circular trails.
