The spectacular stalactite cave in Buchen-Eberstadt is the south-eastern gateway to the Bergstrasse-Odenwald Geo-Nature Park.

The Eberstadt cave worlds with their fascinating stalactites and stalagmites open up a wonderful world of breathtaking beauty.

In the visitor center in Buchen-Eberstadt, on the geological nature trail and the nature trail, you can learn all about the formation of the cave, the history of the earth and the development of the landscape.

At various stations in the visitor center, the fascinating history of the earth and the time of the shell limestone sea are presented to you in a multimedia and easily understandable way. In the architecturally impressive building, you can immerse yourself in the fantastic world of the Eberstadt cave worlds before or after your cave tour - with impressions from the Hohle-Stein cave and the Kornäcker cave.

There are many surprises for children at the center. They can experience the history of the earth up close - for example with the cave slide. And if you feel like it: You can also find coffee, refreshments, postcards, books and kiosk items in the visitor center.

BY CAR:
From Heilbronn / Stuttgart
A 81 exit Osterburken (No. 6), always in the direction of "Buchen", Bofsheim, Eberstadt

From the direction of Würzburg
A 81 exit Tauberbischofsheim (No. 3), direction Buchen, Tauberbischofsheim, Walldürn, Buchen, exit "Buchen Ost", follow the signs to "Tropfsteinhöhle", Eberstadt.

From the direction of Heidelberg / Mannheim
Neckartal, Eberbach, Mudau - B 27 - exit "Buchen Ost", follow the signs to "Tropfsteinhöhle", Eberstadt.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:
From the Ludwigshafen, Mannheim, Heidelberg area, take the Rhine-Neckar S-Bahn to Seckach station, then continue with the Westfrankenbahn either to Bödigheim station (from there a hiking trail of approx. 2.5 km to the cave is signposted) or to Buchen. During school terms in Baden-Württemberg, bus route no. 848 runs to and from the cave from Monday to Friday.

At weekends from May to September there is a bus from Buchen station on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, with the outward journey at 10.45 and the return journey at 13.30.
