The Mudau spring trail takes you on a round trip on the trail of Mudau‘s water supply.

The tour starts at Mudau town hall and takes you about 300 m slightly uphill in the direction of Schloßau. On leaving Mudau, continue left along the sidewalk and follow the yellow "Q", which leads you to the asphalt field path. Here you will find the 1st stop at the former Mudau elevated tank, which was built in 1890. You then climb uphill to the "Stallenbirken" hill, where today‘s waterworks are located.

Enjoy the magnificent view over Mudau. You then walk along a gravel forest path to the edges of the "former chocolate forest". A grassy path takes you to the source of the "Hohenbuschquelle" spring. This spring is considered to be the source of the "Mudbach", which gives the Odenwald community its name. The walk between the two "Brunnenstuben" is particularly beautiful, running along a soft woodchip path.

Now follow the path in the direction of "Alte Straße" to Scheidental. Then cross the road, where the Mudbach is already babbling, and descend along the "Rödlisweg" above the Mudau primary and secondary school to the "Freizeitanlage Mudau" leisure facility. In warm weather, you can refresh yourself here in the Kneipp pool or enjoy an ice cream and drinks at the kiosk. You then walk along the Mudbach stream back to the starting point at Mudau town hall.
